Gunfreak Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 As it is is now the AI ground units with disperse under fire on. Will react at the speed of a computer (so speed of light basically) Now imagine you are in the middle of a 30 vehicle column and a P47 starts blasting the back of the column with rockets and .50 cals. A human would not instantly just react to that and turn of the road. There would be confusion. Is this an attack, where and what? Is it better to turn of the road or try and speed up and drive as fast as you can. I would say anything less than 10 seconds would be overestimating the reaction time of a driver in a situation like this. So would it be possible to add a timer? So you can choose anything from instant to say 15 seconds? 5 i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
Tank50us Posted June 4, 2024 Posted June 4, 2024 I would say that depends on the type of attack involved. A strafing run by a P-47 would have at least some warning to it, as you'd hear the Jug from quite a ways out before it even turns in for the attack run. Compared to an attack by a low-altitude flying F-16, which you may not even know was there until they flew past you at near super-sonic speeds releasing its Snake Eyes. It would also depend on just how much communication the attacked unit has with GHQ. So, basically, I do agree that there should be some delay in the reaction of the unit, but also whether or not they disperse before you make the attack. 1
