For info: I had issues getting decent priced (including import/taxes etc) prescription lenses for the Light, but found one called VR Wave, based in Hong Kong. The lenses took only 11 days to arrive (UK), compared to weeks from the likes of VR Optician, Widmo and Gauss Tech (VR Covers) and also a bit cheaper, all-in.

They look great - as I don't have my Crystal Light yet (17th May pre-order) I can't test them in that, but amazingly they fit the lenses in my Pico 4. So I tested them in that - and I am actually keeping them in there until my Light turns up, cos they are far better than the ones I bought for the Pico! Seriously. The fit is slightly loose in the Pico, but the actual lenses seem about the same size - and the same shape. I don't think you could use Pico 4 lenses in the Crystal, though, due to the rims being flat in the Pico.

Anyway, £78.11 complete and 11 days is the best deal I've had in 8 years of VR, so I do recommend this VR Wave lot - and they are very keen with their customer support by email, too.

btw the Comfort Top Strap is back in stock for the UK at the Pimax store, too - mine arrived in a few days and I'm pleased with that, too.

The Lenses I ordered are from honsvr. Should have them by the end of the week.

Just a quick fyi.

I was having comfort issues with my Crystal Light.  The face plate/gasket is way to big for my face, so all of the pressure was on my forehead and cheeks.  I solved my issue by using a 3rd party kit from Studioform.

I saw on Reddit that people were using HonsVR - but I do believe they are a US based company? This can mean additional costs in the UK which is why I decided not to buy from them. Anyway, no matter - regarding the head "gasket" or pad, or whatever it's called, I have quite a large collection of pads of varying thicknesses and sizes that I've used with various headsets and I'm hoping that if the Crystal OEM one is an issue, I will be able to use one of the ones I have in my "VR Stuff" box 🙂 As long as the plastic interface is a velcro/hook type, no problem.

I've done lots of that kind of thing to make previous headsets more comfy (the Pico 4, in certain circumstances, has the lenses so close it has given me headaches and sometimes nausea, too, with my eyelashes brushing against the edges). I even once used a mop head in the back of a headstrap! Boy, was that comfy 😄 Think it was the original Quest.

Reloptix US based will have a set very shortly for Crystal and Light, they're finalizing the design and fit.  I like them because they can do a formula to integrate readers for us guys who have problems with both far and close vision, not many lens crafters do this.

Good to know - thanks. Of course I have my VR Wave lenses now, but if I get another headset I'll look at Hons as well 🙂

Disappointing - should have had my purchase confirmation email by the 21st and it hasn't arrived. Seems even their updated dates were optimistic. I'll just relax and get on with using my Pico4 - the Crystal is here when it's here - be that July, August or December!

*edit: the pre-order customers are actually required to make a purchase in the shop - so if you are like me and expecting an email inviting you to pay, you won't get one. You need to go to the Pimax shop and order your headset and do it before 30th June to keep your place.
