markturner1960 Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 So I have noticed that Jester often calls out other traffic etc , yet when you ask him to lock one, the wheel says "no targets" ... How can Jester see them if they are not on the radar? System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor.
=475FG= Dawger Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 In a mission I created with AWACS, Jester has given me a complete ‘picture’ including targets over 100 miles away. I just assumed he had a secret Batphone back there. 1
Zabuzard Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 Jester spotting contacts far away is an unfortunate bug that is fixed in the upcoming patch. For traffic callouts and similiar, he sees them visually indeed, and hence can't do anything with them on the radar until seen there as well. Similar for the RWR.We are planning to inject these "external data" into his "radar mind" so that he can for example start adjusting his search pattern for it. Especially for AWACS callouts. 4

Zabuzard Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 he calls stuff on the ground from 100 miles away, its actually an amusing bug lolYeah. It happens when switching from a track condition back to the normal search condition. There is like one frame where the radar is accidentally permitting bad values to enter the flow, causing targets at greater distances to appear for a single frame - enough for Jester to instantly pick them up, lol 2
