air to ground radar inop?

trying to find out why the f16 AG radar isn't working anymore, stock f16, instant action/caucases/free flight.  press A-G and get the radar screen but it's blank.  the mfd range keys are 10 or 5 only.  AGR works for the f18.

appreciate any suggestions.

Is the gun selected as the current weapon while you are in the FCR? With gun selected, it will stay in AGR and not give you a picture, as the radar is busy calculating the range for your gun. 

So try to deselect the gun, or perhaps load some weapons so that gun is deselected by default. 

Perhaps you can also force GM/GMT while you are in NAV mastermode, but I'm not sure anymore.

It depends on the weapon you selected and delivery mode. For example, if you've got Mark 82s, radar is not available in the CCIP mode, but you can use it in the CCRP mode.

Start mission>Select A-G mode>Switch from CCIP to CCRP>Radar map shows.

Radar map is not available in CCIP as razo+r pointed out. Give that person the credit for the solution.

Radar map is also available in Nav mode by selecting GMT.

I had the same problem, even performed a slow repair
