R.MES Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 "The Pebble of Discord : A Mirage Story" is a fictional story-driven 8 mission campaign for the Mirage 2000C, fully voiced-over, taking place in 1992 in the Persian Gulf between UAE and Iran about Abu Musa island. Briefing doc and kneeboard available for each mission. Situation : June 1992. Abu Musa is like a pebble in the sea. It is a tiny island less than 13 km² but strategic due to its potentials oil fields and its position in the Strait of Hormuz halfway between Iran and the United Arab Emirates ... two countries fighting over its possession for more than three decades ! Link : https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3338331/ Hi everyone ! Here is my third campaign for the Mirage 2000. Here the first two : https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3314265/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3319066/ The three campaigns share the same mindset. If you enjoyed the previous ones, I'm sure you'll enjoy this one ! Feel free to comment, ask, report, ... R.MES 1
Ecnatalausio Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 In the first mission the MIG 29 pilot ejects with no apparent reason a few miles after takeoff, resulting in mission failed.
R.MES Posted August 16, 2024 Author Posted August 16, 2024 Thanks for reporting that. It's strange. I tested a bunch of times and I never had this situation. Sometime, AI pilot can act like a fool ... Have you played this mission just once ? It could also be a (new) problem with the last DCS version ... Anyway, I'll (re)test it as soon as I can.

I tried several times. No matter if I follow him or if I continue west after flying over Abu Musa, after a while he ejects.
R.MES Posted August 17, 2024 Author Posted August 17, 2024 (edited) You're right ! That is a (new) problem. The MiG-29 flies at ~260kt (as planned) but permanently with full AB (not planned, not needed) ! It's insane, aerodynamically impossible in real life ... And in June when I published this campaign, it was not the case of course, ... So, now the MiG-29 wastes its fuel in few minutes due to the full AB and the pilot ejects ... I fixed the problem by activating the option "Restrict Afterburner" on its ... and that seems allright. I published a new version of the package. Thanks Ecnatalausio for your intervention. Tell me if you see something else wrong. Edited August 17, 2024 by R.MES
