33 309th_Hedgehog Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 I try to practice navigation flights. Unfortunately there are not all Realworld NDB's simulated, only some fixed runway directions could be used in mission editor and so on. Unfortunately the NDB names in Beacons.lua are in kyrill letters and not readable for me... Some informations are confusing: Sochi has in Beacons.lua only entries for RWY 06. The NDB frequencies of the manual are 741 (Sochi Outer) and 365 (Sochi Inner Marker). For which runway? On Jeppesen maps you will find 365 OUTER and 741 INNER (BUT for runway 02 !!!???). I think most of you guys who are interested in practicing as real as it gets try to find out what is simulated and what not, means: what can be used how and where. May we share our information we found out so far? For example: - what runways are active (in mission editor)? - which beacons are where - which maps does exist (where?) which will correspond as near as possible to our sim world? ED tooks so much effort in this great simulation. Why didn't they give us this information that we could use the sim on that level it was done for. Is it possible to get some of this information from the producers? nemises Posted April 30, 2009 Posted April 30, 2009 (edited) Hi Hedghog, Wags will be able to confirm, but I'm fairly sure he said that NDB's are coming online "in the future" and are not currently implemented... whether "in the future" means with the upcoming patch, or somewhere else down the line, I dunno.. Have a search through the forums..I know WAGS has mentioned this very topic before... ...or iI could be completely wrong...had a search and couldnt see anything..hmm.. 33 309th_Hedgehog Posted May 5, 2009 Author Posted May 5, 2009 hmmm, very quiet here... does that mean nobody wants to share any information or does nobody wants to fly "as real as it gets"? Couldn't believe neither 1 nor 2... hmmm.... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog :: Saitek Rudder :: Track IR5 :: EVGA 3 GB GTX580 :: AMD FX-8120 :: SSD 240 GB :: Win7 Ultimate 64
ED Team USSR_Rik Posted May 5, 2009 ED Team Posted May 5, 2009 does that mean nobody wants to share any information or does nobody wants to fly "as real as it gets"?It means, that we have not enough time just now to get the full answer. Nevertheless, we improved radio navigation in patch (incl. fixed some inaccuracies etc.). Men may keep a sort of level of good, but no man has ever been able to keep on one level of evil. Xjikz Posted May 5, 2009 Posted May 5, 2009 Take the time you need, I think most people here prefer to wait a little bit, instead of having incorrect information in the game, just because this game is called a "simulator" and so it is supposed to be as close as possible as the reality :smilewink: Proud to be a [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] :joystick::pilotfly::book:
