Ski01 Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Hi All, I've read a few topics on this but they seem to offer different views. What are the ideal setting to have a large display on the monitor but not have this create an extra GPU load?
Ornithopter Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 That would be totally dependent on what your system specs are, cpu, gpu, RAM...

No, it has been tested many many times monitor resolution makes no difference, The exception would be if you are recording video from a vr monitor SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat

What you see in your monitor is just a copy of the frame being sent to your VR headset. The workload to render that image has already been done. No extra GPU load.
