Monitor in 3D - does resolution matter?

Hi All,

I've read a few topics on this but they seem to offer different views.

What are the ideal setting to have a large display on the monitor but not have this create an extra GPU load?

For VR? No, it  has been tested many many times monitor resolution makes no difference, The exception would be if you are recording video from a vr monitor

It doesn't make any difference. What you see in your monitor is just a copy of the frame being sent to your VR headset. The workload to render that image has already been done. No extra GPU load.
