NAM Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 Has anyone able to get full tank using either rhino or ffbeast ffb stick?. Came from tomcat, which I am able to get full tank every single time with my diy 24nm( 10kg max deflection). with relative ease without even bother to trim properly or swept the wing into bomb mode. For the F4 phantom, for the past two weeks.. for the life on me, I cannot stay connected even for 30s. It is so frustrated. Admitely my diy ffb stick (made mainly of scap metal) is no where nearly as precise as rhino/ffbeast. I cannot understand why it is so much harder in the F4-e phantom. Dont know whether it is me or my crappy ffb stick.
Dentedend10 Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 yes with the Rhino, 1 disconnect. I find it pretty stable initially, and once it gets heavy it starts to woobble, or maybe I should just retrim. I find it hard reaching for the trim though when I'm flying with tips of fingers for AAR 1 Alienware Aurora R10, Ryzen 5800X3D, RTX4080, 32GB RAM, Pimax Crystal, Winwing F18 throttle, VKB Gunfighter F14 Stick, VKB Modern Combat Grip, Logitech Rudder pedals, DOF Reality H3
NAM Posted June 11, 2024 Author Posted June 11, 2024 I was frustrated and confused that Jester call did not match that of the lights on the tanker. But after watching 104th_maverick on youtube. That Jester callout are more accurate, there is a few second lagged in the tanker light. From now on I will concentrate more on Jester callout. Hopefull I can get at least 50% full before Reflect Campaign for the Phantom ii released.

If you’re too slow, you will enter a flight domain where throttle inputs (to stay in position) will create pitch variations and then it’s very difficult to fly. At 315 KIAS it’s stable and easy. Here are some values you can set in the mission editor for the tanker to get close enough to 315 KIAS. 18000ft: 400kt TAS 20000ft: 412kt TAS 22000ft: 425kt TAS 24000ft: 437kt TAS 2 Mirage fanatic ! It was from the default F16 mission, i just added the F4e. My F4e is fully loaded 2x ext tank, aim7 & aim9. I think you are right... mine was too heavy and slow.. I have to constant adjust throttle and as well as stick pitching up/down I will increase the tanker speed and lighten up the f4. Edited June 11, 2024 by NAM
