F-16 Pilot Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 (edited) Hello, so I am still new to DCS and have been practicing with the F-16. So far, I have figured how to launch bombs and have hit a few practice targets. However, today I ran into an issue. Before there was only one target, but this time I decided to add a couple of more targets and loaded 2 GBU-12's and two 10"S. I hit the first two targets without issue, however when I went for the third target I noticed I had lost the vertical line in the HUD and never got the countdown to fire line. Any ideas on why the line is missing. I made sure I was in AG mode, and had a target designated with the HMD. Any ideas on what I did wrong? I will post a screenshot below so you can see my configuration. Even when I was pointed at the target there was no line. Thanks Edited June 17, 2024 by F-16 Pilot
Solution Delta134 Posted June 17, 2024 Solution Posted June 17, 2024 The steering line disappeared because you don't have any of the bombs left for the weapon you have selected on your SMS page (since you dropped both of your GBU-12s). On the SMS page, press OSB 6 to switch to your GBU-10s. Make sure CCRP is selected using OSB 2. Now you should have the steering line again and you can drop your two remaining bombs.

Maybe you're right, however, I was pretty sure that I dropped one of the 12's and one of the 10s. So I should have had 1 of each left. I am also fairly certain I confirmed this visually by looking outside. Edited June 17, 2024 by F-16 Pilot
Furiz Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 @F-16 Pilot Hey, aircraft onboard computer shows 0GB12 which means you dropped all of your bombs, for that reason there is no steering line anymore, but you have target locator line still pointing to the SPI.

Thanks, I see that now. I thought I only released one of each type. And im pretty sure I looked outside the plane and still had one of each type, but I guess I was wrong.
