GumidekCZ Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 (edited) Soon I will soon report two BUGs: 1) George CPG very very often forgetting to do quick LASER Ranging before he fire the gun. So if you change targets from the target list, there is very high probability of wrong range data for balistic computer. 2) DCS AH-64D Longbow Apache is missing very important part of ballistic computer calculation WIND FRIFT - If you search for AH-64 ballistics, you will find that computer compensates for: Air Resistance Gravity Yaw Projectile Drift Lead angle compensation Trajectory shift WIND DRIFT Edited October 11, 2024 by GumidekCZ
mech79 Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Ok I have noticed this issue as well. It seems to happen when I switch to the CPG seat and let George fly after I have had him look for targets. The shots are always to the right and I don’t mean a small amount. With the TADS zoomed out and the 1/4 squares at each corner of the crosshairs the bullets hit almost a 1/4 to 1/2 inch to the right of the HUD Crosshairs on the screen. If I am flying multiplayer this is not happening. I am pretty close to being right on. I think there is a bug when switching to CPG after you have him look for targets. These shots were all done at a stable hover on stationary targets.
Pekins Posted February 22 Posted February 22 I usually set George for 10 burst, and he seems to start lasing super late, after 2 or 4 rounds are already out.
Ignition Posted February 23 Posted February 23 The other day we employed the gun against a group of 10+ infantry. The gun in DCS is very under performing, we could see how the rounds impacted near the targets and they just ran like nothing, some rounds should have mada some serious damage. It was very funny when there was only 1 infantry and we couldn't kill him.

I believe that, to this day, the engine does not simulate fragment generation from explosives at all. Some fragmentation weapons have had outsized blast effects added to them to compensate for this, but they still don't perform as well as they do IRL against soft targets. 1
