Hi all,

I have an issue where by the 'Preparing Aircraft please wait' screen in training mission 4 (Take off) will not clear. All other training missions are fine. I've done a full DCS repair, removed the F4, then reinstalled but still the issue persists. Oh and DCS is fully updated.

Any advice??

Cheers

Hello MustangSally,

which lesson are you refering to? Take-off is lesson 03, visual approach is lesson 04?

I've loaded up Training Mission 3: Take Off and Navigation (in game listed as Lesson 03 F-4E (Pilot) TAKEOFF:  and it processed through the Preparing Aircraft Please wait screen without an issue. The mission ran without an issue and I was able to activate all that missions triggers. So the mission is performing as it should so the conflict must be something other than a non-working mission. This mission does include some navigation so extends much further than the other training missions seem to, maybe there are too many assets being loaded for your computer?

Edit: I ran it again and it was fine until the very end when i turned the aircraft off and hit Exit from the ingame menu - DCS crashed with that, I sent a report/log to ED with the automatic crash generator. It seemed to be a normal DCS crash though as opposed to mission related.

Hm, maybe an issue with the canopy not opening correctly or the throttles not set to IDLE.

These are the only two things that are checked by the lesson logics at that stage.

Takeoff and Nav....throttles are at idle etc. In fact I just leave my controls as set from the previous mission
