Icebeat Posted June 21, 2024 Posted June 21, 2024 Hi guys, I am using ALPS RKJXT1 on my new DIY grip and it has a problem, pushing in one of the 4 directions the center push button is also pressed do you know if there is any way to isolate or filter it? Thanks?
deeleyer Posted June 22, 2024 Posted June 22, 2024 (edited) If you are using a Virpil base you don't need to isolate them, Virpil software will do it for you, or if you are using an arduino or similar you can program the isolation (freejoy allows two of these switches). If not, I remember some time ago a post about using a 74HC4066: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/116309-suncom-sfs-and-talon-restoration-and-mods/?do=findComment&comment=3282576 There was also a pcb up in the same thread with some diodes that will isolate the center. TheSimNet talk about it on one of his F15 stick assembly video. He also have the files for ordering the pcb. I think he got the files from a reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/HotasDIY/comments/vsno4e/rkjxt1_center_click_isolation/ Edit: Found the links Edited June 22, 2024 by deeleyer
Lt_Jaeger Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 You can achieve that "isolation" also with joystick gremlin. thats the way I did it. Pretty simple and no dedicated hardware needed
