hypernewbie Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 Hey guys, for the last many months I've been developing an abstract BFM trainer, that uses abstract, simplistic and minimalistic graphics. The focus is dead straight on BFM, fighter maneuvering, with advanced intelligent AI. It has simple controls, runs on old dumps, supports network multiplayer up to 32 players in 4 teams. It supports joystick input (also recommended method of input), and has relatively realistic dynamics (It's far from commercial simulators, but it defintely ain't no HAWX.). It even supports recording to TacView ACMI format! Basically think of it as the dogfight training mode of your favourite jet flight sim (Falcon 4 / LOMAC dogfghting training modes), except free and open-source, and much simplified. The idea is to focus on BFM skills and actics without having to worry about 500 keys in your cockpit avionics systems or epic, lagging graphics. (especially the people who are fed up with arcade nonsense physics in HAWX and Ace Combat type games) :smilewink: 2

Vekkinho Posted May 6, 2009 Posted May 6, 2009 WOw cool stuff! But there's this RPM=120% reading in one of the shots, what game is this from?!! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
hypernewbie Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 WOw cool stuff! But there's this RPM=120% reading in one of the shots, what game is this from?!! Sorry? I don't think I fully understand your question... Military power is at 100%, 120% is full afterburner on the F-16, so I just decided to use that as generally meaning "full afterburner". The "game" I based this on is Falcon 4: Allied Force, which is my source of data.
