Kuky Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I got TrackIR 3 Pro VE working fine with Windows 7 RC 64-bit and latest TrackIR software version 4.1.037. Reason it "did not work" before was my error as after I'd install TrackIR software I'd bloody plug in wrong USB cable :D (I have one cable same as for trackIR and I've mistakenly always plugged in the wrong one) What a nut I am aye :D PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
Buznee Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Anyone having issues with being able to set the options? In the options screen I set all my graphics settings but when I hit okay the button presses in but nothing happens. Only way I can get the options screen to work properly is by running dcs in windows xp compatibility mode.
Kuky Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 ^^^^ I have no such issues Buznee PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
BrunoDerRabe Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 black shark windows 7 64bit RC1 just want to share my experience, when I tried to install BS on windows 7 64bit RC1, my first attempt to install the game on the OS without a updated DX using the game installer option ``install DX´´ was a total failure, also the attempt to update DX via the microsoft download center to solve the problem didn´t help - error message: d3dx9_38.dll bla bla bla .... so I used one restorepoint ( without a DX installation/update ), did update the DX via the microsoft website, reinstalled the game ( without the game installer option ``install DX´´) and voila, it is working now  ... The system is a dual boot with XP Pro, the testing did ``eat´´ 3 activatians ... lol ( yes I know how to ``disable and enable`` activations haha ) - nevermind I did buy this 2nd copy of the game only for the server, when the time has come I will apply for more activations via email... ,,, off topic : when I run the server on XP Pro in spectator mode, spectating the game, as soon as 10-12 players join the server ( running always the same mission 16vs16) , the server keeps running, but gets unaccessible for me ( screen freeze and computer does not respond on any keyboardcommands while the server and the game is still running and the server gets invisible on the server browser too ) - same scenario me watching the workload just on the taskmanager ( game minimized) the server runs fine. The Phenom II runs stable on 3,6Ghz and the 260GTX is also not the source of the problem. I just started a new strategy to avoid the system to hang, for DCS I use only core 2-4, leaving core 1 alone for the OS and other programms, even the workload is with 12 players on 4 cores about 25-35% ... the network is also loaded only with 20% of the total 5MBit/s upload ( VDSL 25) ... So I am with all of you yearning for the incoming patch :book: and hope to see problems vanishing, great game ... keep up the good work
BrunoDerRabe Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 @ Buznee Me having issues with being able to set the options too, did you find any solution yet? I didn´t bother much because I used the windows 7 for the server only.
Guest Calistah Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 You can fix that by either right clicking the application icon and choosing "Run as Administrator" or by browsing to the folder the game has been installed in and adjusting the security permissions so that users have write access to the folder. The settings are written to a file in the game folder, and by default with the tighter security, users do not have write access to the files where programs are installed.
