bernyssen Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 Hi Heatblur Team Thank you very much for the update! I was trying to find the correct value for the new afterburner detent option when I came across a bug. It looks like the speedbrake automatic retraction position is static and independent from the new AB detent value. If the detent value is set low enough, the afterburner will engage without retracting the speedbrake. I recorded a short clip in the Caucasus free flight instant action mission with the detent value set to 58, with the afterburner gate button disabled, and using a Warthog throttle with zero curves on the the throttle axes. https://youtu.be/zJXwUeRvfDQ Could you please take a look at this bug? Thanks in advance! 1 2 CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, GPU Radeon RX 6750 XT, RAM: 64GB @ 3200 MHz Main Module: F-14
BJ55 Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 +1 , something's wrong with the new AB detent and deadzone special options. I7-12700F, 64GB DDR4 XMP1 3000MHz, Asus Z670M, MSI RTX 3070 2560x1440 60Hz, TIR 5, TM WH VPC base, TM rudder, Win10 Pro
fat creason Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 This issue has been fixed in a newer build, ED seems to have pushed out an older one. Hoping for a hotfix 2 Systems Engineer & FM Modeler Heatblur Simulations
jackill Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 It is meant to work like F-4 special option? https://f4.manuals.heatblur.se/dcs/special_options.html So it will add a "transparent" curve to my axis?
fat creason Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 Yes, the speedbrake just wasn't checking for the adjustable detent position, hence this bug. It's already been fixed internally. The AB Deadzone issue has been fixed as well. 3 Systems Engineer & FM Modeler Heatblur Simulations

Archangel44 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 (edited) I'm trying to follow this. In the F-14B, I'm unable to get the afterburner to come on. Am I in the right sub-forum as I have read that some can't get the burner to turn off while I am having the opposite issue? Update, last night I got into the F14b, take off from runway hot, lit the burners, took off, got to altitude throttled back and the burners stayed lit. The only thing that changed was the outlet nozzles. Small at full throttle, wide at idle throttle but always lit. Was getting up to around Mach 2.
