After update with the new upgrade of DCS,I have no visual in my VR after I press lauch on the new launcher. In 2D mode it's ok but not in VR.I try somethings like starting steam VR and set my VR in both OpenVR and OpenXR,no results.I have a Varjo Aero helmet and working very fine before the update...if someone have an idea to help to find the problem it would be very appreciate.

Thank a lot guys!

SteamVR is the default when launching DCS:VR in Single Threaded Mode, as OpenXR requires Multi-Threaded Mode.

Should be running in MT mode regardless as many things simply are coded for MT Mode only and do not work on ST Mode, ST Mode is only retained for Bug Checking/Safe Mode use at this point.

I would recommend the next time you attempt to boot it in VR is to look at the DCS.log in saved games. You should see an error message which may say some sort of openxr failure. I had a similar issue and found that it was failing to boot openxr. It was only when I replaced the openvr.dll in bin-mt of the DCS core with the one provided by openxr did it start playing ball

Do you have OpenXRToolkit installed in addition of VarjoFoveat ?

See 2.9.6 quad views foveated Varjo Aero issue under 90fps - Page 6 - VR Bugs - ED Forums (dcs.world)

To summarize what I understood: this version put the mess on quad view. It seems Aero users are lucky because they are not as blocked as Quest or Pimax users. But as soon as you have OpenXRToolkit installed, you need to add the new names for DCS in exception list for OpenXRToolkit, otherwise it triggers itself for the "new" DCS and, as it is not compliant with VarjoFoveat makes the game crashing...It worked for me.

I know VR is a niche, and eye tracked VR is a niche in the niche, but it should be good to have some feedback from 'officials' on the thread above. Mbucchia did so much to make QuadView working, this is making DCS so great in VR now (well before the last release). But Mbucchia will not anymore do things for us...We can not blame, he did it for free...

As far as quad view is off fps are halfed. This is creating some frustration if you do not have an Aero.

Thank's guys!

I desactived OpenXr toolkit, put the Mbucchia patch installed and run DCS-MT shortcut with openXR strings(like before).Everything goes very well and i have a gain in FPS.Very happy about that.

Many thanks to all of you for the help and the knowledge about DCS and third parties software. You are the best my friends.
