Tuna-Salad Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 Sorry for confusing title and if this been posted before but how would I go about following a hellfire from the rail to the target from a stationary point.. like a hill for example.
razo+r Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 F11 or LCtrl+F11, position your camera somewhere and when the weapon is on it's way, padlock to it (I think it's "num." but check the controls for padlocks)
Tuna-Salad Posted July 13, 2024 Author Posted July 13, 2024 (edited) I want to catch it coming off the rail.. by the time i padlock it the thing is well on its way. Is there a way to have it go directly to that camera on launch? Setting a duplicate keybinding could work maybe.. if not i'll just make a macro. Edited July 13, 2024 by Tuna-Salad
TKhaos Posted July 14, 2024 Posted July 14, 2024 Theres a key binding called 'Toggle Tracking Launched Weapons' and the default key is 'RCtrl + Num+' and when activated as soon as you fire a weapon it switches cameras and follows the weapon off the rail until it reaches the target. It will keep doing that until you press it again to deactivate it. I've found it useful but in situations where you got multiple targets all close it can be a pain as you need to be back in the cockpit to lock on to the next and fire. I'm pretty sure it works in playback using the 'Watch Track' function so if you wanted to make videos that might be the better way to go. I have used it against four aircraft at once but then I have remapped it to a key on my Hotas stick so I can flick back and fourth.
Tuna-Salad Posted July 14, 2024 Author Posted July 14, 2024 ^ This is exactly what i'm after. Thank you. 1
