New slew button has its own agenda F18c Wart Hog

Hi. I am a newbie so this may be a stupid question but the manufacturer has no answer and suggested coming here.

Fixed new button with 360 axis and centre click as TDC on throttle. Mapped to axis control and tuned axis for dead centre and movement level. All Okay but when I let go of the pressure on the button the Flir image skates around and ends up looking up .

I have it designated to screen with the triangle bug but I see on many videos a much more steady and finer action than mine. 

Is it possible to set it so when you remove pressure it just stays in that place on the flip screen? Then you have a finer and more controllable situation

How can I solve this please?

First thing check for double bindings in DCS.

F18c Wart Hog throttle and replica stick 

Add a small deadzone in the axis tuning (start with 1 or 2).  Sounds like you're still getting a small input when you release it.  Warthog throttles used to be notorious for that, although I thought they had final improved it more recently.  And definitely check for double binds as Foka said.

Also worth scrolling down and checking the Thrustmaster subforum in the INPUTS section of the forums.

I have checked for double binding and I checked the Windows USB set up tool which when calibrated shows the cursor on its window behaving as required by me. i.e. self entering and not wandering up like a dead eyeball. I have used the axis commands as promoted by the supplier and will now retry . Hat switch commands instead and also using the at present redundant there way and press switch on the left side of the F18 replica stick.

Try a small deadzone in DCS. Even if Windows shows it doesn't need it.

Yes thanks this worked well and its quite critical to set up but after a lot of fine tuning its as I want it now usage the two axis setup not hotas.

Yes I have finally sorted this with a lot of fiddling with the deadline and using the axis menu. Its quite a fine line of okay and not okay but I can now move on to my next mountain to climb
