fullwoody Posted July 18, 2024 Posted July 18, 2024 The track file contains a bunch of stuff, but the track centers on 2 uh60's, with there own routes. I had to separate the group that because they couldn't follow it properly when in a group together, and would invariably cause the trail aircraft to go off on its own and try to figure out how to land. They individually fly to waypoint 2, slow down and land as waypoint 3 indicates. 10 seconds after landing (combat landing set to true). What they should do, is take off, accelerate to 30 knots towards waypoint 4 at an altitude of 3600ft, then continue on to waypoints 5 accelerating to 60 knots and finally onwards to 90 knots. same altitude. However what happens instead is they take off, slide to the right, pitch forward violently, immediately overcorrect, yaw, then pitch forward, backward, one of them will bounce the tail wheel off the ground. Both aircraft finally settle into a bouncing motion. I have tried changing the positions of waypoint 4, altered the direction the aircraft should face after landing, the altitudes, speeds, even changed to the UH60L mod. The helicopter AI specifically has been rough for as long as i can remember, rarely do they follow the prescribed route, and more often than not cannot land. The combat landing did work after a few hours of troubleshooting, but, it really shouldn't take hours to get 2 helicopters to land and then a day to get it to take off which.... that timer is still going because they wont.
