Panzertard Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 I'm not sure if this is a sensitive subject, but I'm curious how real pilots in a Ka-50 or the simulation would handle this. There's no RWR in the Ka-50, correct? What would happen when someone launches an AMRAAM after you? Are the pilots able to get any warnings at all - the LWR cant do that I mean? Or is it unrealistic to expect to be painted with radar only? I understand that it may not be part of the sim - but I havent flown the campaign yet, so I wouldnt know. :joystick: The mind is like a parachute. Quirkitized Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 When they blow up, it's my understanding they get notification about being painted by an air-to-air missile/radar..... :D

159th_Viper Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 There's no RWR in the Ka-50, correct? Correct What would happen when someone launches an AMRAAM after you? You WILL Die! Are the pilots able to get any warnings at all - the LWR cant do that I mean? Apart from visually aquiring the launch, No warning at all. And definitely no warning whatsoever if somebody decides to send an AMRAAM downwind..... As it stands in the Sim atm, need not worry too much about Air Threats......the Radar threats you have to worry about are Land-Based.
