Newb question I know, but where can I find out about what the Advanced (Waypoint Actions) switches do and how they work?  For example, when I place an AWACS in a mission, its second waypoint has the switches "-a" and "-ref" but I don't know why or what they mean.  Can anyone teach me?

Advanced waypoint actions allow you to set or force certain behaviours at a certain waypoint. Just look through them, many are self explanatory. The one you are asking is usually their task that you have set them to.

More info should also be available in the DCS WORLD 2020 user guide in the docs folder of DCS (... /DCS World/Docs)
