How to make AI ground units "see" each other

Hey guys, 

I'm trying to setup a mission where some artillery units fire at a moving group of trucks. 

The artillery is within its max range and has its task set to "attack group". 

 

How do I make this work? Is a circling drone enough to "spot" the enemies and datalink their positions to the artillery?

If you give them "Attack Group", they need a direct Line of Sight to engage them.

If you give them a "Fire at Point", they can fire at the point as long as it is within max range.

A drone per se can spot units but it will not direct any artillery fire to targets by itself.

Ah, okay thanks. So shooting at moving targets is basicly not possible, right?

It is, but they need a direct Line of Sight for that.

The other one, requires 180 seconds for aiming + flight time for the shells, so difficult plus has to be set up manually.
