Rudel_chw Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Hello, I'm having trouble with this Ground check, as you can see it gives the same speech when trim is minimum, maximum or zero: Is this a bug? .. or I'm doing the check wrong? Thanks, Eduardo For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Solution Cat107 Posted July 29, 2024 Solution Posted July 29, 2024 (edited) Hi, during this check only the ailerons (roll) and rudder (yaw) are checked by the crew chief (or WSO). So the stabilator position (pitch) won't be taken into account. The stabilator trim operation is verified only by checking if the needle in the cockpit moves. If you would like to learn more about the details of the ground checks, I highly recommend this chapter of our manual: https://f4.manuals.heatblur.se/crew_chief/overview.html Cheers Edited July 29, 2024 by Cat107

Hi, thanks a lot and re-reading the manual I understand it now, the GC only checks for rudder and aileron trim. I misunderstood it and assumed that pitch trim was also included on the check. thanks again and best regards, eduardo 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
