Michi.G85 Posted July 29, 2024 Posted July 29, 2024 Maybe its just me, but since the update the Hornet has no option to set the MFuze in Cockpit so the bombs won´t explode. Also, smokepiles are visible through the clouds.
Critter Posted July 30, 2024 Posted July 30, 2024 I've got the same problem. I do know, at least with the F-18 campaigns, that fusing is broken since the new patch. 1
rob10 Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 Working fine for me as long as you rearm it on to your plane. I'm guessing you are using a mission that was created before the new fusing system was set up (or possibly a fast mission). In either of those cases it will not have the new fuses and therefore won't work. You can leave it on the default fusing when you add it to your plane. In the future it will make it a lot easier to check your issue if you attach a track file of the problem. I'm making an educated guess that the above is your problem but I could have confirmed that if you had added a track. 1
Michi.G85 Posted July 31, 2024 Author Posted July 31, 2024 Well, its mission #3 in the F18 "Campaign" - so what am I supposed to do? Go into the mission editor and change it myself? How many other "old" missions are there which need an update? That's one big issue with DCS imho. It looks like the whole core is patched and instable in itself. One change on this side, and over there <profanity> hits the fan... This is what people complain about and tell ED to finally fix the core issues before pumping even more modules into this chaos. I think it won´t get easier this way - but what do I know...

How many other "old" missions are there which need an update? The short version is yes, that's one option. You could also just go in and change them in the MISSION PLANNER option when you enter a mission or just re-arm when you get into the plane. And likely any mission older than a couple of months could have this issue. Yes, ED should update their older missions, but technically this isn't a bug, just a change in the game.

This may be something you're doing wrong or could be a bug but without a track it's hard to know.

Kolo37 Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 Any update? I got a similar problem in hornet using GBU-12s. Even when fuze is set to inst. the bombs do not explode. The mission was created prior to recent fuze updates if that helps. It would be nice to get some ideas on how to fix the problem (which fuzes to choose and which to avoid). I was pretty down few days ago when after an hour i reached station and later saw 4 bombs (in course of 30 minutes) hit but none explode. 1

As long as the time of fall was greater than the time to arm (which is selected in the arming screen prior to starting the mission) your bombs should have gone high order. Were you employing from high altitude? I also frustrated with this and am thinking to revert back to an earlier DCS version as a result...
