  1. Thanks for the response. This seems like a good way to proceed. I'm assuming that means you need to redo all the key bindings, mods., etc. for the 2nd install? Are there any shortcuts? That seems like a lot of work!
  2. Please forgive my ignorance here as I don't do much multiplayer...I noted that there is a new DCS update on the street that I have not yet installed. I also noted that today when I tried to get onto one of the servers I usually do BFM on, it wasn't listed. In fact, there were only about 80 servers listed to choose from (and I did not filter out any based on map, password, etc.). I'm wondering if perhaps since I did not update to the latest version, that I'm only allowed to join servers that are running the same version of DCS as me? Any other thoughts are welcome? I'm always reluctant to update to a new version right away since it's been my experience that new releases sometimes create as many problems as they are designed to solve...Thanks in advance!
  3. Thanks guys - I'll check it out. I guess my main question is how to force a flag off that was set to true, then allow me to subsequently set it as true again. Basically to go back and forth with the flags so I can better control my close escort.
  4. Hello all. I'm trying to develop a mission with a section of fighters providing close escort to a section of attack aircraft. I am using the "follow" enroute task and have laid out a series of detect and engage circles along the route to control the corridor in which the escort may engage hostile aircraft. By default, the escorts simply follow the attack aircraft, but I've included a radio button to command the escort to search and engage (this gives me the option of having another section take care of the hostile aircraft and keeping the close escort close to the attack aircraft if preferred). No problems committing the escorts using the radio button, and I can even turn the search and engage task back off using another radio button (so that they can return to formation). I'm using flag 1 ON to start the detect and engage task, and flag 2 to turn OFF the detect and engage task and turn OFF flag 1. Now the tricky part? 1. Is there a way to allow me to recommit the escort once I've commanded them to stop the search and engage function (i.e. turn flag 1 back ON)? I'm thinking maybe a switched condition, but I'm not sure how (or even if it's possible) to implement this. Ideally I'd like to be able to turn the search and engage function ON and OFF multiple times in a single mission. Any help here would be appreciated!
  5. Just flew the mission and this happened to me also. Please let us know when the bug has been fixed so we can complete the mission as intended. Otherwise excellent!
  6. Thanks Tomeye and Wrecking crew. I've downloaded OGVME and am starting to get familiar with it. Before I get too far down the road, perhaps you could shed some light on a few items... In the case of the NVD Mod on this thread - which I've already downloaded and copied over the existing (core DCS) Bazaar Shaders folders - how would I undo that so that I can once again pass the IC found on some of the MP servers? Do I need to redownload DCS? If so, what will happen to all my skins and aircraft mods? Key bindings? Mission and campaign progress? Is there a way to repair/restore the folder in question (so my install passes the IC), then redownload the NVG mod and enable it using OVGME? Am I better served to download another version of DCS elsewhere on my hard drive? Thank you!
  7. Love the Mod and have been using it for many months now. I've recently gotten into MP and as discussed, there are many servers that won't allow me to join since my install now fails the IC. Is there some work around here for someone not using (or even aware of) a mod manager? Is there a way for me to go back and forth between a DCS install that uses the NVD mod and one that doesn't? Thanks!
  8. Lowering the seat substantially helps a lot. As does approaching the basket from well below and to the left of it and then making a very slight move up and right as you close on it in the endgame. Unlike in the Hornet when you can get directly behind the basket and just fly straight into it. Good luck!
  9. Sorry, not to state the obvious, but are you tuning up the TACAN to the correct station? Or is the ship following EMCON procedures in this campaign?
  10. Here's the same issue with a section of Hornets... Please let me know if there's any other information I can provide to help resolve this. 2 x F18 AI refuel KC-135 MPRS broken short.mp4
  11. Thank you for your response Flappie. I made very simple missions with a section of fighters (both with the same fuel load of about 45%) trying to refuel off a KC-135MPRS to illustrate the issue. As you'll see, they both join up fine, but the issues with the plane on the right side begin almost immediately. He plugs multiple times, and sometimes the basket appears to go through his plane. The behavior is not normal and happens very frequently since updating to 2.9. 2 x F14 short refuel AI KC135MPRS.mp4 2 x F14 refuel broken KC-135 MPRS.trk 2 x F18 refuel broken KC-135 MPRS.trk
  12. I've noticed since the 2.9 release that in-flight refueling is not going well for AI aircraft. I've noticed this with the F-14 as well as the F-18 off both KC-135 MPRS and S-3B(T). I am able to plug without problem, but have noticed my AI wingman is now often jousting with the basket. In some instances, even after I command him to "hit the tanker" he simply continues to fly formation off the tanker and makes no attempt to refuel. This results in him taking much longer than normal, and in some cases, he never stops trying to refuel. I'm also noticing this with other AI aircraft that are not in my flight. Both day and night, regardless of skill level. This makes many missions that require in flight refueling unplayable. Below are some screenshots of the AI's refueling probe actually going through the basket. This would help explain why the refueling is taking so long (as reported elsewhere). Is anyone else noticing this? I'm playing with OB, on VR BTW.
  13. I'm having the same issue occasionally. Happens in the F14 and F18 modules for me, though not 100% of the time. I have easy comms selected, and the comm menu tree appears, but when I select the message to send, it doesn't go out. When this happens, tanking and managing the wingman/AIC are impossible.
  14. Exactly - I flew the Hornet back in the early 2000's. I'm pretty sure it's not possible to use the radar in an air-to-air mode (let alone STT) while in AG MASTER mode.
