Whatever will be featured for cartridge use, please let us access these files by text editor inside the saved games folder too. Same for the waypoints we can currently save in the new mission planner feature.
Would enable us to create and edit such data even while DCS is not running and could be used for mission preparation.

I can see no downside to such a solution. The Mirage 2000 DTC file is a good example of how simple it could be. This doesn't restrict at all what any future DCS DTC implementation might come up with in regard of ingame DTC preparation.
