At low speeds with Bob ON, once I take over from Bob, I immediately enter vortex ring state and boom.

probably because you had your Collective too far down.

check your collective is set correctly when turning bob off. 

Please bear in mind Bob is currently work in progress also.

The other night I handed controls over to Bob and everything was fine until I touched the cyclic to try and speed up. As soon as I did that he tried to kill me by flipping upside down and the aircraft became uncontrollable until I took control back. Then I got it stable, tried to hand it back to Bob and without touching anything else it went crazy again, like I broke Bob. I'll try it again next time I fly and save a track.
