Did you ensure you have the good options as shown in first post ? Could you try by replacing your "option.lua" with the one I put here : https://forum.dcs.world/topic/356128-reshade-vr-enhancer-mod-vrem/page/6/#findComment-5595928 ?

 

The options.lua file just seems to contain all the settings in the in-game options menu. Can you tell me which line is relevant to Vrem? I don't really want to overwrite all my options. Here is my current file.

Just save your file, test with mine and restore yours later. If it is working with my file it means you are not using settings advertised in first post.

You can use WinMerge to easily compare the two files side-by-side. In my case I think it may be my new use of DLSS\DLAA (upscaling) so I will try MSAA 2x again to see..

I tried your settings and they are breaking the mod. The culprits are often cockpit illumination, SSAO, SSLR, Lens effects. Check your setting with the picture in 1st post.

DLAA is working with the mod, MSAA4x is not supported (that's just it add work for me, and it's too taxiing for VR).

Sorry but I need at first the reshade.log done with VREM debug feature...of course with only VREM enabled and shaderhunter disabled.

Please @lefuneste01, Tell me exactly the options because with so much testing I'm going crazy ;-).

First, we are testing the VREM effects directly in reshade; from the VREM add-ons page, they work, but from the reshade effects start page, the effect is not displayed in VR, but it is in 2D...ok?

I have installed reshade and your VREM mod above.

In addons page, are correct these options or is necessary activate DCS VREM although we are testing VREM effects in reshade?

And in start page, I'm testing only with this effect.

And if it doesn't work, you need:

1. Reshade.log

2. Restart. install Shader hunter mod, F1 in cockpit, and Reshade.log.

Is it all like this?

You should have installed reshade + VREM 7.1 mod, deleted shaderHunter.addon64, untick any addon other than VREM

Have selected colorMatrix_for_VREM in reshade effects, plus set somthing to see its effect (eg red at 100%, for all view, and all parts )

Have  selected "reshade technique in VR..." (see below) and restarted the game
Then go to cockpit and check if you can see the red color in VR

If not working, use the debug option "capture frame" of VREM and send again the reshade.log.

If working, test if areas (cockpit,external) are working (you may need to press the "refresh technique" button so see changes in VR.

OK, working in VR, I think I tried 7.1 with VREM disabled in addons. Effect areas (cockpit,external) also working.

Would it be possible to have an effect for HDR, contrast, or something similar? My goal is to darken the cockpit compared to the outside.

Good ! There is an HDR effect in sweetFX (effect set you have when installing reshade). Could you try it and report if it fit your need ? I'll see then to create a version for VREM having cockpit settings.

HDR effect works, only in cockpit selected, but only affects center of Quad view foveated area, even with "all view" selected. Because of this, the transition between the foveated central area and the peripherical area is very noticeable. 

But the HDR only in cockpit... wooooooow!!! 

If you can get it applied to the whole area, I think the community will really like it. Thanls.

Hello, that's strange...I'll have a look. EDIT : I had the same issue than you but press on button "reload" at the botton of "home" tab, it seems it fixed the issue even after a DCS restart...could you try ?

Yes, at first at some point pressing reload the effect worked fine in Quad all view, but during the tests I had this warning several times, reshade stayed like that indefinitely, so it was somewhat difficult for me to carry out further tests.

I did not encounter it.. But you should press "reload" only once, check you no more have the technique only for inner view, then restart game and check if effect is OK once in cockpit.

After a clean install of Reshade and VREM 7.2, I confirmn that reload works, and even when restarting the effect continues to work in inner and aouter Quad views. I insist, the HDR effect in the cockpit individually is fantastic, since in my opinion the cockpits are over-illuminated compared to the exterior.

A very rare bug... I load Free Flight F16 fast mission in Caucasus, everything is fine, HDR in cockpit only; I exit and load Free Flight F16 Afghanistan; very saturated colors outside; I exit, load Free Flight Caucasus again, saturated colors outside. Only HDR VREM selected in reshade effects, and nothing enabled in VREM except techniques.

Can you reproduce with another plane and put track here ? I do not have the F16C, but I have the F18, the AV8, the P51.FC planes and of course the Su25T. When you have saturated color outside, is the cockpit in HDR anyway ?
