Fridtjof Nansen-class frigate & Skjold-class corvette

Heya Everyone

 

As the Kola map was released, I started to create a campaign (planning to release it also public) for choppers(for AH64, OH-58D at first + maybe some others too later).

For this campaign, I need support ship + some more local equipment, so I started to model Nansen frigate and Skjold corvette.

First question: Someone already modeling these? Before I go too much forward?

Second question: I can handle the modeling side, but for defining the weapon systems in DCS, I may require some help. Any good templates for ships or any help to convert the 3D model to DCS Mod?

I will publish any models I create for everyone and use in any way You like. I dont mind. I will post the Blender model too after I get something more done if someone wants to polish the model.

I have a hunch that most of the weapon systems are already modeled one way or another:

• OTO Melara 76 mm (Used also in Fremm, Sachsen)
• RIM-162 ESSM (Evolved Seasparrow)
• Naval Strike Missile (NSM) (Arleigh Burke)
• 12.7 mm Browning M2HB
• 7.62mm MG 3

LRAD and torps are not modeled propably

Yes, both CH and Admiral189 have versions of most of those. Plus the ED weapons can be used to at least confirm the model is working as intended.

Heya everyone. Sorry for not updating this topic for the longest of times. AFK life too busy at the moment due change in service location and current events. But please, feel free to pick up the project.

Model is 95% ready (to my standards at least). I attached the blender model and 2D drawings to this post. Feel free to use the model in any way You like. Take this post as open license to this model. I hope that someone could pick this up.

Great looking model SirFlounder, as Beldin mentioned I have a copy of the Nansen Class, the De Zeven Provincen class as well as the HNLMS Rotterdam L800. 

I will review what you created and send you my thoughts via private message. You are the only one I know who has created a 3d model from the ground up.  Great job SirFlounder.
