I pre purchased Afghanistan a few month ago in the early release. How long until I can download it? I know it not complete but I have a license yet it doesn’t show up in modules to download/install. Did I miss something?

2.9.3.5.  I thought I was current but apparently the updater only runs when you execute the standard exe and not MT which is what I’ve been using. Hopefully once updated I’ll be able to download. So, is there a way to make the Updater run regardless of which dcs exe you use?

The southwest part of Afghanistan is live since 2.9.6.57xxx from 07/11/2024.

most of us have only MT active, try to start from your game folder ..\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin-mt\DCS.exe

Edit: for update, just run ..\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe - it will also update MT part!

It's the other way around - dcs_updater.exe (there's still only one, located in Bin folder) controls which of dcs.exe launches. Albeit since 2.9.xx landed, it always launches MT version by default anyway. At least in standalone game, I recall it's a bit more convoluted for Steam users.

Dcs.execs themselves cannot launch dcs_updater.exe, and they never did.

Just use standard start menu (or desktop) shortcut - if it wasn't tinkered with, it should link to dcs_updater.exe by default and that one should search for updates the first time it runs every 24 hours.
