Likely something i'm doing wrong, don't see it from the manual so figured I would ask here. I have 7 "controllers columns", including 2 MFDs, an ICP (with virtual joystick, so makes 2 columns), TM HOTAS throttle and JStick and MFG Rudder pedals. I set up a different profile for each aircraft, in this instance the F-86F. Save the profile in the default folder. Load the profile and check it, there are a bunch of duplicate entries in the columns of equipment not being used (for that plane) and it causes all kinds of strange behavior in flight. Why is it not saving/loading what I created and making it's own assignments?

old post, got it sorted?

each column has a save option at the right of it's upper bar.

Save it with it's own *.dif.lua, name and it will be saved in ... Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\InputUserProfiles

It makes sense to add the plane name to your file with joystick or pedals to remember what it was.

It saves when you press OK. There's no need to do what you do. If you need a backup, just copy the whole input folder. If you save it as you say, you basically export it, and when you open it again, you actually import it again, and it has the potential of ruining your work. It is confusing for sure.

For unneeded controls. Right Click the top of the column and choose clear. If you need to clear a single cell, right click it and clear it. Then click OK and it saves.

Cheers
