DCS "login name or password are incorrect after update.

Has anyone else experienced this? I installed DCS fresh about 11 months ago. Everything was working just fine. I think it was build about 2.5 or something. Just went on DCS world today and it said do you want to update? So I did, now 2.9xxxx. I can log into the DCS account on their website but the DCS World launcher is now saying incorrect username and/or password. The DCS website account uses the same log on details doesn't it? Any way tried adding DCS to my windows 11 defender allowed apps, did that and still no luck. I own quite a few modules and I have Flaming Cliffs 2024 in my basket but no use buying it until I can log onto DCS World.  I have opened a support ticket and I have submitted the logs they asked for. What is going on?  Can anyone help me please?

The actual STORE website should use your DCS account.  That is DIFFERENT to login you're using for the forums (unless you happen to use the same ones, they are 2 separate systems)

Yes I am using the DCS Store/account username and password and I can log into the account no problem.  It shows me all my licences and purchases etc, but using the same login details for the DCS World login will not work.

Hmmm ... in that case you probably need to contact ED support.  I like to rule out the forum vs account thing because it often catches people out.

hello

go into saved games\dcs\config folder, make a copy of options.lua. then open the original with notepad. find the line ["autologin"] = true, change it to false and save the file. that way dcs will ask you again to fill in creds. then you can save the creds again.

Thanks all.  In the end, ED had to sort it out.  Some kind of glitch.  Working now.
