King39 Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 (edited) Sorry, just saw this on Task and Purpose and couldn't resist... “I think the A-10 with the depleted uranium rounds would be effective against an AT-AT and other similar equipment provided they do not have any force fields protecting them.” David Roza https://taskandpurpose.com/culture/air-force-a-10-warthog-star-wars/?utm_term=Task%26Purpose_Today_09.16.24&utm_campaign=Task %26 Purpose_TPToday_Actives_Dynamic&utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email Edited September 16, 2024 by King39 2
ASAP Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Aim point matters, against the head, probably not. But vehicles are not armored equally all around. There's a lot of unarmored vulnerable looking stuff near the back. Though thats mostly because the artists just added a lot of greeble to make it more visually interesting. But, a single grenade in the undercarriage takes one of them down in the movie so I'd buy it.
Tenkom Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 The blasters on the snowspeeders are ineffective so they must be shielded. Therefore I'd say kinetic rounds would also be ineffective. But you never know. Maybe the shields only work against blasters since they are able to fly through the planetary shielding on Hoth. The shield around endor and the death star(in episode 6) is another matter. But they fly through the shield on the death star in episode 4. I think one just needs to park the brain when watching star wars(I love star wars).
