Flyingaustrich Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Looks like that it is just one screen behind, or am i wrong ? That solves much problems with "Touchbuddy" and more than one screen !? If it is, you could build the weapon pannel outside in a singel box, putting it to the right place without having conflicts with the screen behind. How ever, looking great......:thumbup:
londo-cat Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Hey there Schwinn - this might be a total noob question, and sorry for asking. But how did you undock the SHKVAL and ABRIS onto the other monitors? Also - what size make/model LCD's did you use for the SHKVAL and ABRIS? Thanks!

I am only using two monitors. One is a Viewsonic 28.5" for the main screen and for the Shkval and Abris I have them on one Gateway 20" widescreen LCD. %5Bimg%5Dhttp%3A//chenardorin.googlepages.com/HPIM0157.JPG[/img] Looks like that it is just one screen behind, or am i wrong ? You sir are correct =) One screen behind the panel.

Well I was wondering how you got the Shkval+ABRIS to show on one monitor. Because in the DCS config, it allows for Shkval+Camera but not Shkval+ABRIS. Per the DCS Manual: MONITORS. DCS allows you to output the video to one, two, or three seperate monitors. Options include: 1 Camera. All video will be displayed on a single monitor (default) 3 Cameras. Video will be equally spread between three separate monitors. Shkval+Camera+ABRIS. This option allows the Shkval image to be displayed on the left monitor, the default camera on the center monitor, and the ABRIS display on the right monitor. Shkval+Camera. This is a two monitor setup that allows the Shkval video image to be displayed on the left monitor and the default camera to be displayed on the right monitor.
Schwinn Posted August 10, 2009 Author Posted August 10, 2009 I totally forgot to post this sorry Londo =) Description = 'Camera on the left monitor, Shkval and ABRIS on the right' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = screen.width / 2; height = screen.height - 30; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 16 / 9; } } Shkval = { x = screen.width / 2; y = 0; width = screen.width / 4.4; height = screen.height / 1.9; } ABRIS = { x = screen.width * 0.785; y =80; width = screen.width / 4.5; height = screen.height / 1.1; }
Schwinn Posted August 13, 2009 Author Posted August 13, 2009 My system went poof =) bad mainboard so I grabbed a AMD Phenom Tripple Core CPU, mainboard and ram =) Oh and I snuck in a Geforce 250 with 1GB!
Schwinn Posted August 13, 2009 Author Posted August 13, 2009 Well...I am not sure what is going on. Low settings high settings affinity or not with DCS max I can not get this game over 30 fps. With my old 8800 GTS I was getting a little over 40 fps with dcsmax now no matter what I do it seems to be stuck at 30 fps. I should point out my other games are really smooth with very nice frame rates. Does BS not play nice with AMD CPU's?
CAT_101st Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 I am running a AMD 940 with no probs. I get 65FPS with DCS max on Win 7 and 35fps on XP Home built PC Win 10 Pro 64bit, MB ASUS Z170 WS, 6700K, EVGA 1080Ti Hybrid, 32GB DDR4 3200, Thermaltake 120x360 RAD, Custom built A-10C sim pit, TM WARTHOG HOTAS, Cougar MFD's, 3D printed UFC and Saitek rudders. Schwinn Posted August 17, 2010 Author Posted August 17, 2010 Hey everyone, Been super busy working and saving for a house. We finally bought one and I got a nice 24 x 24 garage and a computer room about 18x28 =). Unfortunately I had to destroy my pit and now I have to start all over again!!! Good thing is my father gave me all his woodworking tools =) and my wife agreed to help me get a CNC router. So hopefully this build will be more precise then the last one.
