Jyge Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Actually it is not directly a problem with DCS, but I reckon some people having a simpit might have this problem and maybe a solution. I have Varjo Aero and while playing DCS I sit in front of my PC, quite close to the monitor, so this is sort of my seating position also for the VR. Now I built a pit for racing sims and maybe one day I will also implement my flight sim controllers into the pit. The problem here is that it is couple of meters away from my PC and now when I put on my headset I can barely read the stuff on my windows desktop. I would not want to recalibrate or something everytime I go to the rig, so I was sort of wondering if there is a way to adjust my position accordingly. Once any game starts I am of course sitting normally centered in the car or aircraft cockpit, this is only the issue when messing around with windows desktop before launching the game... Does anybody have this issue or even better a solution?
Brainfreeze Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Not that I'm aware but would love to be told I'm wrong! i9 14900K / 64GB / RTX 4090 / Varjo Aero / Winwing Orion2 + F15EX / Virpil Wrbrd + Alpha Stick + ACE pedals
Jyge Posted September 20, 2024 Author Posted September 20, 2024 Well, I discovered that you can go in Varjo Base to System Tab and Activate "Override origin and direction". That more or less does the trick. It sets the headset on the "floor" but you can give a height below the button and then the eye level is elevated. It does more less exactly what I was looking for. 1
