Pimax Play version 1.33.02.01 was installed and the HMD was updated to firmware 1.0.10. PimaxOpenXR and OpenXR toolkit etc. were all uninstalled. The normal 90Hz mode works fine, but as soon as I switch to 90Hz upscale, the left lens begins to flickers in different colors and the image in the left lens is somehow split into three parts. It looks weird. See the attached image Anyone have an Idea ? Fresh NVdia Driver, PimaxPlay already reinstalled. THX ! As soon as the glasses turn on, the error is already visible.The picture above only shows the glasses switched on, without starting a game. As soon as I switch to 90Hz in Pimax Play, the glasses restart briefly and the problem goes away. Which log files do you mean? Where can I find them? And is a log file always created? No error message appears. Edit: I just remembered. Twice the left lens even remained black at 90Hz upscale, so it wouldn't start. Then i restarted using PimaxPlay and the left lens showed an image again but with errors as described above. Calvin.Pimax Posted October 22, 2024 Posted October 22, 2024 Please navigate to Device Settings > General > Log > Export. This will allow you to receive the log files from Pimax Play. It has been confirmed that there is an issue with the 90Hz upscale refresh rate, and our developers are currently working on a fix. 2

Here’s the download link for the update: https://dlappstore.pimax.com/release/play/PimaxPlaySetup_Release_toC_V1.35.02.01.02_202412061738.exe This update should help resolve the issue. We've discovered that the problem isn't persistent but may occur occasionally in previous patch. Please let me know once you've completed the updates. Thanks! 2
Soda007 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I have the same issue but with only the right eye. There is a horizontal "tear" effect in the picture and vertical "colored rain" streaks. I have an open support ticket with Pimax support and sent them a video of the effect (not sure Calvin if I provided you the ticket number if it might help). It's definitely related to the 90 Hz Upscale (Lab) mode as if I select a different refresh, it's fine. I updated to latest firmware/pimaxplay and no difference. It happens both in DCS and in the default "moonscape" background. Thoughts? Hoping to get this resolved as I suspect 90 Hz Upscale would provide the best visuals/performance combo but it's not working for me right now. -Soda

Soda007 Posted January 13 Posted January 13 LtSpoon, FYI, after troubleshooting and sending logs to Pimax, they've asked me to return my headset for exchange. My issue sounded just like yours at 90Hz Upscale so I assume they've determined it was something in the hardware. -Soda 1

Have you tried to reseat the DP cable (at the headset's end)
