using both internal + PCI-e gfx card in Vista 64-bit

My new mobo Asus M3A78 Pro has 2x video output (1x VGA, 1x HDMI).

My external PCIe card is a Nvidia 7900GTO.

 

HOW can i have both internal, and external PCI-e enabled, allowing me to conenct a touchscreen to the internal card' VGA output?

 

My setup:

2x 19" LCD monitors

1x 10" LCD touchscreen

 

In the BIOS, i selected the external gfx card as default. Doing so disables the internal gfx card. Booting into Vista desktop settings, it detects the 2x 19" monitors conencted to the external (nvidia 7900GTO) card. yet, refuses to acknoledge the existance of the internal gfx.

 

In BIOS, enabling the internal Gfx card results in a diabled PCI-e gfx card :shock:.

Have you confirmed through the manual that the chipset does support the ability to use integrated graphics and external graphics at the same time? (I don't see why it shouldn't, but I've never been a chipset architect either.)

Unfortunately, most motherboards do not support simultaneous using of internal and external cards.

You may use a 6x00 card with an SLI support as a cheap alternative.

I know this probably doesnt help people, but you can use a PCI videocard with an onboard videocard at the same time. As far as I know, you cannot use an AGP and onboard card together.
