Training Lessons don't work

Hi,

 

I have a little problem with my DCS: Black Shark. I can not start the training lessons.

When I select a lesson in the training menu and press start button the screen become black and nothing happend.

 

Please help.

Try to fix your resolution or resolution ratio or something in graphics settings.

If this sugestion doesent work try replacing your trk. training files or start them from replay tab in

the main menu and finaly try other track files to see if the problem is bieng caused by the track file itself.

I changed the graphics settings to: 1280x1024 windowed but it not helped.

The training track files are running fine with the record player.

 

Any other idea whats wrong?

Is it normal that the encyclopedia is empty?

No, it's not.

 

It would help to know something about your system. Could you please list as much as possible of the following:

 

Operating System version.

Where you installed it.

Make and model of Processor.

RAM amount.

Video card make and model, and version number of driver.

Any controllers you are using - make and model of mouse, keyboard, joystick and so on.

 

Finally, if you have an error.log file in your DCS temp folder, please include it's contents. It can likely direct us to the specific error. On my installation those logs are present in this directory:

 

C:\Games\BlackShark\Temp

 

If you have it installed somewhere else, it would change correspondingly, f.ex:

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\DCS\Temp

Im guessing your installation Didint go so well anyway give us your pc specs and they might give us a clue to why your training isnt working . and until this is fixed use the replay tab in the main menu to access you training files and if you dont move the camera with your joystick or keyboard the camera moves just like it should in the trainig tab.

 

btw if you have vista, did you open the installation file "as administrator" or do you even open the game as admin if you dont try it . but hearing that the encyclopedia isnt woking i think runnung the installation as admin would help.

My system spec:

CPU: Intel Core2 Q9550

Mainboard: MSI P35 Neo3

RAM: 8192 MB DDR2

Gfx: XFX GF 8800GTX 768MB (Driver: 185.85)

OS: Vista x64 (all updates)

Controllers: Saitek X52 / Wireless XBOX360 Controller

Install Path: C:\Games\BlackShark\

 

I started the installation not as admin. Till now i never had any problems with vista access rights. I will try the admin installation and check for error.log this evening when i'm at home.

Make sure that you have set the correct operating system locale according to your version of Black Shark. I.e. if you are using the German BS version your OS language has to be set to German/DE.

Ah ok.

I'm using the English (USA) region settings but have a german Black Shark version.

I'll try with the german region settings.

From your specs i concluded that its not from vista 64 bit cos i run that but it might be the installation location keep the installation location the default location because i have heard problems bieng caused by this so reinstall to see if this works.

sshantt, he's already been given a likely solution.

 

And there is no problem with using a custom install directory. The opposite actually on some configurations, from what I recall. Nothing serious though, just a few people who had their vistas configured strangely so that when it was installed into Program Files (x86) strange things happened.

Ok. The Region settings fixed it.

same problem here. i have russian version , location Turkiye.

i tried both Turkish and Russian even English ,but no responds.only black screen in training missions.

i am using xp 32
