shomke Posted October 25, 2024 Posted October 25, 2024 (edited) The question is in the title. Isn't it possible to shot a D530 before getting the TIR signal, i.e. reaching the kill zone? I am pretty sure it was possible in the past. As I was sometime firing a first D530 from far away, just to force the bandit to go defensive and buy time to safely get closer for a second deadly shot... But now my mirage definitively refuses to launch before TIR. OK, I know, the French government needs money and want us to save costly missiles Edited October 25, 2024 by shomke 2 F-16C, M2000C, Persian Gulf Ryzen 5 3600, RX 5700 XT, 32GB ram, Odyssey HMD+, Home-made TrackHat, X56 Hotas.
Lynnux Posted March 17 Posted March 17 (edited) Late answer since I just started playing again after a longer break: it is but it's kind of a seperate mode now. I think it's described in the radar section of the manual. A description of changes is here, you'll also find a link to the updated manual (or better look into the doc-folder of the M2K aircraft mod): Forget what I wrote above. The new manual still states the same concerning firing conditions and it's possible to fire the missile in the least restricted domain (before TIR appears). Just tried it. Edited March 19 by Lynnux
