With the launcher, you can selectively update all but Syria, which allows you to fly FIWOS (over the older Syria terrain) and have the current version of DCS World.

WOW< THAT IS FANTASTIC because I was about to uninstall DCS, throw out all my controls and take up wood working with a dull knife.  The software glitches wreck this game.  Friggen HAD stops working, tried turning the HAD off and back on, brought back the Curser but could not select a target.

Maybe the update as above will fix it.

looking now, but mine shows Jet Engine Plane, dcs f/a 118c, and su 25t frogfoot, but no other files listed on that window.

I have version 2.9.7.59074, launcher shows version 2.9.9.2472 as new version. screw it hitting enter. LOL>

My suggestion would be to open a Command Prompt, navigate to your \Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin folder, and then run DCS_Updater.exe update 2.9.8.1214.1.
After that is complete, try updating all but the Syria terrain from the launcher.

Its incredible how ED let third party campaings (and many more things, even modules like the Kiowa) being broken for a month, not even releasing a quick hot fix, it doesn´t generate much trust on the buyer.

Yep, and believe me we've been telling ED that as well.

Are you sure about that man? Even after the latest patch update, Mission 01 (The Arrival) is still broken. Lead flight never lands at King Faisal. Instead it will turn, climb, and land at Prince Hassan. Thus, leaving the rest of the mission hanging without the ability to land at King Faisal and ending the mission..

Is anyone else experiencing this issue as well?

My bad brother, I must have accidentally posted my reply here instead..

If ti's any consolation, I'm glad to confirm that "Weasels Over Syria - Mission 01" is all good and the AI is able to taxi and takeoff as per the mission design
