Timex3 Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 (edited) Hello all. I'm receiving this error message. When I try to start DCS World I'm reviewing the following DCS crash, "allow DCS to gather additional debug info dxdiag.exe" I have tried everything to get DCS running, but I'm having no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Timex 3 Edited November 4, 2024 by Timex3

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Timex 3 The message just states that dcs wants access to dcdiag.exe to gatter crash information. Not apart of why it is crashing. Did you press "no" to include dxdialog in the dialog when it crashed ? There is no information in this post to help you. Post your dcs log file or crash rapport file. or post your log file or crash rapport file to ED's discord in the log file analyser channel Edited November 4, 2024 by Kanelbolle WARGAMES Servers: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/301046-wargames-server-pvp-and-pve-campaign-servers/ Scripts: RGC & SPGG https://github.com/AGluttonForPunishment/
Timex3 Posted November 4, 2024 Author Posted November 4, 2024 dcs.log Thanks Kandellbolle, I attached my log file. I have run clean & repair numerous times, but still no luck! I really don't understand what has caused this issue? I was using DCS with zero issues earlier today. Thanks, Timex 3
rob10 Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 Looks like you're getting zip file errors from your mod. The last hotfix mentions fixing that, but I'd start by uninstalling your mods to get going again anyway. 1
The_Nephilim Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 (edited) GPU Not (yet) detected is your GPU drivers still working maybe they got corrupted and your mods may be an issue.. you also had a VR Runtime error this could cause the game not too start.. run your log in the DCS Discrod log analyzer chat room you have many issues.. but I think the Root cause is your GPU I would check to see if it is functioning properly.. Timex3 Posted November 5, 2024 Author Posted November 5, 2024 Hi all, I think I have it sorted out. I use a program called Malwarebytes. It deleted my saved games path. I reinstalled my NIVIDA Drivers and I'm no longer receiving the game crash message "allow DCS to gather additional debug info dxdiag.exe". DCS is now running perfectly. I won't be using that Malwarebytes while running DCS again! Thanks for the help, Timex 3 1

I have DCS up and running again. I reinstalled my NVIDIA Drivers. Malwarebytes also deleted my DCS World Game Path. I'm interested to see if my GPU is now detectable. I have run DCS at full settings with zero issues. DCS World looks amazing and it has no stutters. Thanks, Timex 3

Just use Defender and exclude all the paths suggested. At least Saved Games and DCS core folders. I also thinks it's time you boot into Safe Mode and nuke the graphics drivers with DDU, and re-install new Nvidia drivers. Even older ones. My DCS won't start with the most recent ones. That's on ED and not Nvidia.

I have my graphics setting to maximum and I haven't seen any further issues. That being said I will follow your advice when I take it to the shop! I also downloaded the latest graphic drivers from NVIDIA. Timex 3

No need for the shop just ask here. Detailed instructions are easy to provide. We'll make an expert of you. I'm positive! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

TKhaos Posted November 5, 2024 Posted November 5, 2024 (edited) You got a VC Runtime error in your log as well which can cause issues sometimes. As there is a new build recently be worth updating Microsoft Viscual C++ 2015-2022, if it's installed just do a repair but if not it will update. The latest Microsoft Viscual C++ 2015-2022 (x64) Build 14.40.33816.0 can be downloaded below, first is the direct link so will just download or second link you can go to Microsoft site yourself and pick the x64 version off the list at the top, which shows the direct link. https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe (direct link) https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170 Edited November 5, 2024 by TKhaos 1

After much frustration, I reinstalled my graphics drivers from NVIDIA. DCS World thankfully came back to life! It's pretty hard for me to go without a day of DCS World. DCS is my passion & hobby. This was all caused by a program called Malwarebytes. This program deleted my game path and it screwed up all my graphic drivers. I have run DCS on max settings! I will definitely check out Microsoft Visual. Thanks for the tip, I appreciate it!! Timex 3 1

No problem, it's worth keeping Microsoft Viscual C++ up to date, not just for DCS as it's widely used but DCS does require it. There has been a few issues with some people and the last couple of releases of Nvidia drivers, quite a few have dropped back to a previous version to solve issues. As for Malwarebytes that's become a problem over the last 4 months or so, DCS it started with the major patch back in August I think where it keeps removing DCS files. Normally it will remove a single DLL file out the aircraft Bin folder. Sometimes it doesn't work at all but other times you get the warning that it's an unauthorised module and will disabled in 2d 23h 59m, caused massed panic few months ago The worst offenders were Malwarebytes and McAfee, Windows Defender had the occasional issue and Norton was mainly trying to block internet access due to unsigned files. I test Malwarebytes in manual mode to see what it picks up without deleting anything, at one point back in August it disabled every single Flaming Cliffs aircraft by removing a single DLL file out each of the folders. 2
