cesarferrolho Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 Man... i must be a real pain in the ass by now, but... i really have a hard time with some things. I just hit one of the bandits in the third wave (maneuvering) with several missiles and and it didn't count as a kill !!!!! (i confirmed it in Tacview) I had hit my bandit in a previous try before already, and also, no hits counted. I'm pretty sure i hit my bandit in one of the tries at least, and it didn't count. It sure counts when i get hit by a single bullet or missile. Here is one of them in Tacview: SpeedAndAngels_Mission07.trk

If hits don’t register for longer than that, make sure you have no mods installed and run a slow repair Edited November 4, 2024 by Reflected Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
Reflected Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 Wait, I watched your track. Of course it doesn't work. You've been completely ignoring Paco's instructions and commands. When he fires a Fox 3 you fire a Fox 1 for starters. Then when he fires a Fox 1, you don't. And in between you just keep spamming the bandit with all kinds of missile shots. So I guess the 'timer' in the game doesn't even start because the mission has no clue what you're doing Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord

But again, if i'm doing it wrong, why not count it as a failure? I'm flying around wasting my time...

And a few more. It's very simple. If Paco fires a F3, you fire a F3. If Paco fires a F1, you do too. That's how the intercept goes. There are 1000 ways people can ignore the very specific instructions given in the briefing, I can't possibly set up a trigger for each scenario. I need the player to play along, and be able to assume that he's following at least the gist of the instructions, especially when the mission is already so complex. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord

He did it correct in the first missions. But at one point i just followed his bad example after loosing sight of him... null
cesarferrolho Posted November 30, 2024 Author Posted November 30, 2024 (edited) Trying all of it again... Mission 7, second fight (07c) I'm being attacked and hit by Paco AI's target, while Paco AI simply ignores his and all targets into the merge. Is this how it's supposed to be? I'm dogfighting 2 enemies at the same time null SaA Mis 07 - 07c.trk Edited November 30, 2024 by cesarferrolho

I strongly advise everyone NOT to use TacView with this campaign. In order to make such complex scenarios happen there are lots of 'tricks' happening that you wouldn't notice otherwise. I figured that much. It only happens sometimes. I was able to pull it off, but this time the second bandit (after i splashed mine) started running away east, but i was able to catch it after finding him in the F10 map. I got a "took a little too long" penalty though
