Bahger Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 1. Right rudder input makes the helicopter yaw left and vice versa. Is this how it's supposed to operate or d I need to try and reverse my pedal imputs? 2. Sometimes I get the voice of the tutor ("Welcome aboard, Trainee!") but sometimes only the subtitles. Is there any way to ensure that the voice track always plays? It's good, and easier than reading the subtitles. Many thanks.

We've had entire, surprisingly interesting, discussions about that very thing. 2. I have no idea.
EtherealN Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Safari Ken, I laughed out loud on your #1 response. Those discussions really were amazingly interesting for the trivial nature they would seem to have at first glance. :) On #2, Bahger, do you have a surround sound system, or a headset running in a surround emulation mode? PeterP Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 1# pushing the right paddle should turn you to the right here is a whole thread about this theme: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=689140#post689140 2# don't really know a answer but I have a slight guess: Try changing the hardware acceleration (lowering/turn off) settings of you audio device in the windows audio device properties / performance. This may help- if not- it would be helpful to have more info about your system. Try also to install the latest sound driver
Bahger Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 Thanks guys. - I thought the rudders were reversed. Odd. I'm using the pedals from my G25 racing setup with a CH HOTAS so I'm hoping the Logitech software will allow me to reverse accelerator/brake inputs. Anone have any experience with this? - I have a brand new gaming PC with a 5.1 audio setup running off the motherboard. I will try the suggested solutions involving hardware acceleration. I've never known what that option means in games in general. Thanks again.

You should be able to reverse the input easily directly in BlackShark. Go to options/controls/(second drop down menu) axis commands Than choose your controller axis and click 'tune axis' in the lower right corner and reverse the axis.
Bahger Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 I checked and I do not have a hardware acceleration option in my audio properties. I'm running a very high-end gaming PC but am continuing to have a few audio probs in BS, i.e. no tutorial voice-over. I'm concerned that I will not hear AI wingmens' voices too when I get that far into the sim. Can anyone help? Many thanks.
