Tomcat388th Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 (edited) I'm set up so I can use Virtual Desktop or quest link just so if one gest broke I have a back up. Been using Virtual Desktop most of the time popped back in with quest link for a quick flight my eyeballs feel like their going to pop out of my head. Everything looks fine but it feels like my eyes are straining to focus if that makes sense. Go back to Virt desktop no problem. This is just with DCS quest home screen and stuff seem to be fine. Was wondering if anyone else have run into this. My quest is on ver 69 on the computer app and headset I have tried this with and without my debug settings and different refresh with oculus J Edited November 17, 2024 by Tomcat388th Ryzen7 5800X3D. 64 gb ram, 6950XT 16gb, Winwing Orion F18, MFG Crosswind Rudder, 42 inch lg tv, Quest PRO USN VF31 F14A AE2 1985-1989 CV 59 NAS Oceana IL ANG 183FW/170FS F16C Block 30 Big Mouth 1989-2006 Full time tech Retired E8

Phantom711 Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 (edited) Remember that DCS has it´s own IPD setting under the vR options tab. Maybe recheck that one. Try turning it off or set your individual IPD. Still wouldn´t explain why it acts differently between Quest and VD, but who knows, maybe it interacts differently with each of them. VR mysteries. speed-of-heat Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 No ... It doesn't... I mean yes it has a setting Labelled force IPD distance, but this is more accurately a "world scale" function, and honestly should be labelled that way, and has nothing to do with you actual Inter Pupillary Distance or a setting for your eyesight 2 SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
Tomcat388th Posted November 17, 2024 Author Posted November 17, 2024 I figured it out, for some reason oculus link does not like any changes with the Field of View setting in the openxr toolkit. With Virtual Desktop it works fine. I put it back to default 100 and oculus link is back to normal. It took me awhile to remember I had changed it tweaking Virtual Desktop. Thanks for responding guys J Ryzen7 5800X3D. 64 gb ram, 6950XT 16gb, Winwing Orion F18, MFG Crosswind Rudder, 42 inch lg tv, Quest PRO USN VF31 F14A AE2 1985-1989 CV 59 NAS Oceana IL ANG 183FW/170FS F16C Block 30 Big Mouth 1989-2006 Full time tech Retired E8
