Had to reinstall Windows.

So I saved the Config folder from DCS core, and saved Config folder from Saved games folder.

Re installed Windows , Installed DCS, I replaced this config folders but all my old controllers settings are gone.

Dont want to do it all over, I have 9 controllers.

What did I miss?

That the GUID of the controllers are different from the old install. It's a Windows thing.
Make one single change in each controller to have DCS make a new diff file with the new GUID in the file name. Then rename all the old files with PowerRenamer.

I wrote this in another thread.

What I did. I changed one single button on my collective to force a new diff written, to catch the new file name. Then I searched for the old file name in the input folder in File Explorer. Selected all the matches, right clicked and chose open in PowerRenamer. (Shell extension is added when you install PowerTools).
In PowerRenamer's "search for" field, I pasted the old file name, and in the "replace with" field, the new file name. "Apply". That's it. 20 or so old working profiles.
Of course these steps needs to be repeated for every peripheral. But it's way quicker than importing old files in each module for each an every peripheral.
I would guess it's a five minutes job for me, with 10+ peripherals and every DCS module.

Thanks, I need to do this rename for each controller, and also for each plane, correct?

Yes, but the controllers will all have a different GUID, but it will be the same for every module. That's why one can use tools like PowerRenamer.
So just open the Controls Settings for one module. Change one button for each controller. Then you will have the correct new GUID for each controller, and can quickly rename each file in PowerRenamer like I wrote above. You will have to do this for each controller of course.

Yepp, and you need to redo your modifiers for every module, in case you use own modifiers. If you use the same set of own modifiers for each module, simply copy the first correct modifiers.lua to each input folder of the other modules. Saves time.

Excellent!

Edit: If you mark it as the solution, (if possible), it can help other users.

You as the OP can do it. Just look at my post, and there should be a text "mark as solution" somewhere in it.
