vctpil Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 Hi, When I select and activate a TACAN (TCN boxed on HSI), the command steering appears on HUD. But when I select a course (with the CRS switch), the command steering disappear. Anybody's know if it's a bug or a normal behaviour? Track and picture attached. Thanks. ex81 Posted November 18, 2024 Posted November 18, 2024 (edited) Don`t know. But when you have the course line on the HSI, you really don`t need it in the HUd too. You can see your plane in relation to the course line. It`s enough. Edited November 18, 2024 by ex81 What goes up, must come down ! Solution Recluse Posted November 18, 2024 Solution Posted November 18, 2024 You will see an ARROW in the HUD which directs you to the TACAN via the entered CRS and gives you indication of your orientation relative to the selected CRS as shown in your HSI/SA. When the arrow is lined up with the FPM pointing straight ahead you are heading for the TACAN at the desired course. If the arrow is perpendicular to the FPM it means you need to turn 90 degrees to intercept the course. Manual Page 145 null
vctpil Posted November 18, 2024 Author Posted November 18, 2024 Thanks for the explanations. That's why is called 'command steering'. 1 IAMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12x 3.7 to 4.8Ghz - 32Go DDR4 3600Mhz - GeForce RTX 3080 - Samsung Odyssey G7 QLED - AIMXY
