Arecibo Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Hiya HB, I'm just wondering if you'd consider making the hitboxes(?) for the cockpit switches bigger? Sometimes it can get a bit fiddly trying to turn something on when the head tracking keeps moving. At the moment, it seems to be located exactly on the switches, but I feel like the radius could be bigger without affecting the surrounding switches. What do you think? Solution Zabuzard Posted November 24, 2024 Solution Posted November 24, 2024 Technically possible. But it would also affect for example where mouse hints would show and could lead to an odd experience with touch controls, since that's all tied to each other.I believe it would also be unusual with respect to other modules, but haven't check. These hitboxes can be displayed if you open the model with DCS/bin/Modelviewer.exe and click on some "show collisions" button. And yes, they are mostly exactly the switch and not surroundings. Thanks for the suggestion though. Ill forward it to the artists for consideration :)By the way, if there is a switch you are having trouble with specifically, plewse mention it and we can improve it for that individually quickly. 1
Volator Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 I would be careful with larger hitboxes. I already popped my braking chute on two occasions when I just wanted to switch the right Stab Aug switch. Great fun for everyone around when you are in the EOR as part of a four-ship in multiplayer, ready to launch. 2 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven
Slippa Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 (edited) If things get a bit fiddly I pause my trackIR. Give that a go if you’re pheeling phumble-phingered. Edited November 24, 2024 by Slippa Spelling 😝
