Hey guys,

I have the WinWing Orion 2 throttle base with the F-15EX handles.  I'm trying to learn the A-10C ll hotas controls.  Seems ok except for the China hat switch.  The china hat is not spring loaded so there are 3 positions only aft, forward and center.  To do a short selection, if I time it right is forward/ aft back to center then back to forward/ aft as quick as I can.  This is difficult because you have to do this as fast as you can.

Has anyone found a work around for this?  I guess I could switch the boat and China switches but it really is not how I want my controller set up.  Any suggestions are always appreciated.

Thanks

Just swap the Boat and China Hat switches:

For the China Hat binding, use one of the physical 4-way hats above it.

For the Boat Switch binding, use the China hat switch.

I know, this is an old thread. I love the A10C and I used the Thrustmaster Warthog because it is a replica. BUT it is so scrappy inside, that in my lifetime now over about 15 years the 4th throttle/stick broke due to inferior internal wiring. I cannot fix stuff myself and need to rebuy. I am not buying the 5th any more.

I went with the Winwing F15EX and even if I need to swap Boatswitch and Chinahat it would very much be worth it, for the better hardware quality.

So, I congratulate you on choosing the Winwing hardware and hope you found a good solution for yourself. I just wanted to give you a heads up, that in my opinion you made the right choice.
