[QUESTION]: Need tips for making voice-over have radio effects and static background noise

Hi,

I've recently started doing missions for myself, and now im designing a big, serious campaign with voice over actors, including myself and my girlfriend, and a few others that signed up. I will upload it here when its done.

My question is, I want my voice over to have the typical radio sound and noise. I've tried playing around in Audacity with adding white backgroound noise, high-pass filter, distortion etc. But I never get to the quality as other campaigns have that really sounds like a real radio transmission.

Any advice? 🙂

I just use the Graphic Equalizer in audacity to select a a particular range of frequencies.

And then a bit of amplification.
