i use basic primitives and boolean operations too. after i convert into mesh and make fine tuning. you don't need to model avery detail, try to use power of textures. it gives often bettes result than very fine mesh. and don't forget to use modificators on the primitives. it is possible to finish some car only using primitives and modificators. simply do it .... you will see ...

IN ADDITION I'D LIKE TO ASK YOU TO PUT YOU QUESTIONS ON THE MODELING IN RELEVANT THREAD: THIS ONE SHOULD BE ABOUT VEHICLES AND VEHICLES PROJECTS. I OPENED ONE FOR A MODELING HINTS. THX.

We need M6 Linebacker for US SAM system, it's becoming more and more used in US Army if I'm not mistaken.

It's a M2 Bradley fitted with AA missiles.

US tried ADATS but did not use it, only Canadians do today.

And we need soldiers, moving ones :)

like i saw posted somewhere else, we need RPGs and AT-missile teams, and some mortars. A T-72 or even T-62 or T-55 would be nice since we need to get low tech stuff for rebels to use. Zpu-1,2 and 4 would also be a good weapon for them to use as would the zu-23-2.

found a good link to a very nice zu-23-2

http://gunpoint-3d.com/model-zu23.html

Edit: i dont think the soldiers, or at teams need to be mobile but they need to be able to use their weapons.

The Zu-23-2 and other AA guns are defenitly needed. Lets hope some kinde soul takes up one of these.

Edit:

I did some longer Google sessions and it seems that the Zu-23-2 is still being operational within the regular russian troops. So this gun has defenitly it's place in the sim.

As for the other guns, I think the ZPU-1/2/4 ( 14mm ), M1939 ( 37mm ) and S-60 (57mm ) would be good choices to equip caucasian "rebells".
